Weighing in on the Ray Rice situation: First off, the suspension was way too lenient. The whole world thinks so. It's just barbaric to uppercut a woman, with the intention of knocking her unconscience. He expected to do her extreme harm and had no reservations about it. It could have been your sister, or your mother, could you imagine what you would want to do to him if it were? To make matters worse, he then drags her, then carries her off to their room, with every intention of covering up the assault.
Now that we're months past this event, you find that they were fighting and arguing and that the tension was obviously very thick at that moment. You also find out that they say that they truly love one another and have a child that they also love. You start to hear regret from both Ray and his wife that they wish it never happened.
When you hear that from a woman whose been assaulted, you assume she may be even more of a victim, possibly suffering from battered wife syndrome. Where she takes part blame for the violence so as to alleviate the backlash to her husband. However, maybe she just really wants to keep her family in tact and can forgive this isolated incident. Perhaps she knows love conquers all and that we are all imperfect.
Ray Rice has expressed remorse many times, he and his wife have entered into couseling and have said their love is strong. To ask him to continually talk about it, would be hurtful to their family. I agree with him turning off the topic to the media, they all have to heal. Our prayer for them is that he is not a repeat offender and that this incident remains isolated.

Rory McIlroy collects another trophy. He's making it look easy, much like how Tiger once did. Some see considerable comparisons to their rise through the ranks. Now that Rory has broken his engagement, are they're fast women is his future, with all the traveling he's been doing, much like baseball players, he may soon have a girl in every state.
